Thrift Shop
United
Methodist Women’s Thrift Shop
The
Thrift Shop at
Our
objective is to acquire by various means donated goods of all kinds and to sell
these goods in a general merchandising shop.
The
FUMCH’s Thrift Shop is a non-profit resale business operated for the benefit
of the United Methodist Women of Homosassa.
The
profit is divided among:
Historically,
FUMCH’s Thrift Shop has helped fund a large part of the UMW’s budget. There
is no other fundraiser that begins to generate this kind of revenue.
Indeed,
strong support of the Thrift Shop can dramatically reduce the need for other
church fundraisers.
We
encourage you to continue supporting the Thrift Shop so that the UMW can
continue to support Global Ministries and our church.
Our
2007 goal is to increase Thrift Shop Revenue. Being open only one day a week for
three summer months this summer made a dent in our revenues. We were able to
meet our yearly pledges, but just barely.

The
best way to increase our profits is to increase our revenue.
To
make more money we must broaden our customer base and bring more paying
customers into the door.
You
all can help by promoting the Thrift Shop to others and donate high quality
goods.
The
Thrift Shop makes money by selling donated goods, including housewares, toys,
small appliances, books, and lots of other stuff in addition to clothing.
Of
course, the “good stuff” brings in the most money. Got treasures? You’re
not going to be able to take them with you! Share it! Donate your “good
stuff” to the Thrift Shop.
Thanks in advance for your help. If you have any questions, contact the church at 352-628-4083.
We
look forward to a great year with your support!
