5th
Dimension Society
4th Annual Luncheon
March 4, 2005
The 5th Dimension Society was honored at a luncheon in Roberts Hall hosted by the Permanent Endowment Committee. Guest speaker was Christian Burns from the Lakeland conference.
The 5th Dimension
Society consists of members and friends of FUMC Homosassa who have let us
know that they are remembering the church in their wills, trusts, or through
some other kinds of deferred gifts.
The 5th Dimension Society is one way that the church is
able to honor and thank these foresighted and generous people for their
“planned gifts.” A
Planned Gift is made now, with the use of the gift by the church deferred to a
later date. It is made for the
mutual benefit of both the donor and FUMC.
Donors may receive tax benefits now while the church receives the gift at
a later date. In addition to wills
and trusts, qualifying gifts include charitable gift annuities, life insurance
policies, IRAs or other retirement plans, and real estate—all naming FUMC as a
beneficiary.
