Fall Music Ministry By Mary Kay Messenger |
Marge Dilling is our
Youth Singers leader. Hand Bell Choir will resume rehearsals on Wednesday,
September 7th at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. No previous ringing
experience is necessary, but music reading is helpful. Beginning and
experienced ringers are both welcome!! Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings also after
hand bells at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. They have been
rehearsing since their break in July. So, come on by and check us
out!! Beginning and
experienced singers are welcomed with this group also. |
Anyone with
instrumental experience should leave a message, with your phone number, for
Mary Kay Messenger at the church office. We like to enhance
our worship services with instruments when possible. We'll be starting to
rehearse Christmas music before you know it, so don't put us off. We're looking
forward to meeting YOU at one of our next rehearsals !!! Musically Yours, Mary Kay
Messenger (Director of Music
Ministries) |
Holistic Small Groups
Ministry By Steven Skelley |
Our
Small Group Ministry launches in September, 2005 with more than a half dozen
small groups. Holistic Small Leaders
participated in 5 weeks of specialized ministry training. |
Holistic small
groups are disciple-making communities whose goal is to reach the
unchurched, meet individual needs, develop each person according to their
God-given gifts, raise leaders to sustain the growth of the
church and perform a mission. Like healthy body cells, holistic small groups
are designed to grow and multiply. Our Holistic Groups include multiple
Bible Studies, Men’s and Women’s Prayer, Healthy Body and Spirit, Current
Affairs, and Cancer Survivors. Check the church calendar to find a
holistic small group for you! |
Tom and Nancy Pearo, who faithfully
perform our SHARE ministry here at
First UMC, have informed us of SHARE Day at Devil Rays baseball on Sunday,
Oct 2. Tickets are only $5. We plan on taking
the church youth already. Would you like to go too? If we have
enough interest, we could rent a bus and take 30 or more people for a fun day
trip. Contact Steve Skelley as soon as
possible if you’d be interested in joining us. |
