Choctaw Willy's

friendslogo.jpg (132500 bytes)

On Tuesday, July 25th, 2006 we again met at the Inverness US Rt 44 boat launch and took a nice cruise out to beautiful downtown Groveland where we had some great barbecue at Choctaw Willy's.  Boy, what a place! Ted led us over some back roads that most of us had never been on, and Terry took us on an equally scenic route on the way back.  We had seven 'vettes and a great time was had by all.  Thanks!!

On your BBQ Joints page you have to list Choctaw Willy's in Groveland, FL!!!! This place is a landmark in Groveland. They are located on State Road 50 at the Intersection of State Road 19. The official address is 214 W. Broad St. Groveland, FL They smoke their meat over a mixture of oak and fruit woods, and use a wonderful apple-vinegar base to their sauces. It is truly "unusually fine barbeque". They also do a great job at southern side orders like black eyed peas, collard greens, and fried okra!
